Use
After installing the batteries and setting up the system, apply the arm cuff, inserting the pin located on
the plastic tube of the arm cuff in the appropriate inlet on the main unit. Fig. C
Remove clothing from the arm.
Rest for several minutes before the test. Sit in a quiet place, preferably at a desk or table, with the arm
resting on a stable surface and feet flat on the floor. Fig. D
Apply the cuff to the left arm and keep it at heart level. The bottom of the cuff should be placed appro-
ximately 1-2cm above the elbow. Fig. E – F
At this point you can proceed with the test.
Press and hold "ON/OFF" button until a beep sounds. On the LCD display will appear for one second
as unit performs a quick diagnosis. A long tone indicates device is ready for testing.
Note: Unit will not function if residual air from previous testing is present in cuff.
On the LCD will flash an arrow until pressure is stabilized.
Initial pressure is first pumped to 190 mmHg. If the current user's systolic blood pressure is over
190mmHg, the unit will automatically re-inflate to the proper grade.
Note: Pressurization will gradually subside and ultimately stop when cuff is not properly ap-
plied to the arm. If this occurs, press "ON/OFF" button to turn the unit off.
After cuff inflation, air will slowly subside as indicated by the corresponding cuff pressure value. A
heart symbol flashing will appear simultaneously on screen showing heart beat detection.
Safety Precaution: If pressure in arm cuff becomes too extreme while testing, press the "ON/OFF"
button to turn power off. The cuff pressure will rapidly dissipate once the unit is off.
Note: keep relaxed during testing. Avoid speaking or moving body parts.
Three short beeps sound when testing is complete.
The screen will display measurements for systolic and diastolic blood pressure.
An indicator representing the current measurement will appear next to the corresponding WHO Clas-
sification.
After reading the test results, turn off the appliance by using the appropriate button, in case no button
will be pressed the unit will turn off itself after about 3 minutes
