Installing the Module

To install an expansion module in an Allied Telesyn switch, perform the
following steps:
1. Disconnect the switch's power cord, if attached.
Caution
Do not install the module with the switch powered ON. Doing so can
damage the module.
Warning
The power cord is used as a disconnect device. To de-energize
equipment, disconnect the power cord.
2. Using a Phillips-head screwdriver, remove a blank faceplate from one of
the expansion slots on the front panel of the switch by unscrewing the
faceplate's two captive screws. Refer to Figure 1.
Note
Do not remove the faceplate if you are not installing an expansion
module in the slot.
