Switching on/off

To avoid the condensation, allow the BEA 950 to
adjust to ambient temperature before switching on
the BEA 950!
The voltage supply is provided by the mains voltage
system. The factory setting of BEA 950 is 220 V – 240 V,
50/60 Hz. Note the relevant information on the label on
the device side of the trolley.

Before commissioning, make sure that the mains
voltage matches with the voltage set on the BEA. If
the BEA is operated outdoors, it is advisable to use
a power source protected by a ground fault circuit
interrupter.

BEA 950 can be switched on and off using the
switch on the socket strip.

After switching on for the first time
After switching on for the first time, select the language
of the Windows operating system from the menu and
follow the on-screen instructions (see operating in-
structions 1 689 989 347).

The language cannot be changed later any more.
Should this nevertheless be necessary, contact your
authorized Bosch dealer.

Operation

Transport BEA 070 in an upright position only. If
BEA 070 is tilted during transportation, condensate
may leak, damaging the measurement chamber.

Software installation
4.5.1
SystemSoft BEA-PC
1. Close all open applications.
2. Insert the "SystemSoft BEA-PC" CD in the DVD drive.
3. Start "Windows Explorer".
4. 'START D:\RBSETUP.EXE' (D = DVD drive letter).
BEA setup is starting.
5. Confirm with <Continue>.
6. Heed and follow the instructions on the screen.
7. Re-start the PC/Laptop to successfully conclude
installation.

4.5.2
Device interface settings
The device interfaces of the device types must be set
after installing and starting SystemSoft BEA-PC.
1. "Select Start >> All Programs >> Bosch >> Diagnos-
tics >> Central Device Communication" or left-click

2. "Select Settings >> Device interfaces".

Pressing <F1> opens the Online Help. The most
important information on interface settings is dis-
played here. KTS modules (special accessory) must
be configured using <F2> DDC (Diagnostic Device
Configuration).
3. Configure all devices (USB or Bluetooth).
BEA 950 is ready for operation.
4. Start SystemSoft BEA-PC.
