Choosing the right dimming technique:
If you are satisfied with the standard settings of the dimmer switch,
you can leave it as is. If your lamp flickers or makes a buzzing noise
you can change the dimming technique with the Mode Set Switch
using a flat-head screwdriver. Do this when the light is switched off.
Follow the steps below if you are adjusting the Mode Set Switch.
TEauto: This is the factory mode that automatically detects which dimming
technique is needed for your lamp. This will work in 90% of the cases so that you
don't have to change the settings if you are satisfied with the dimming results.
TE: This is the Tronic (also called Trailing Edge) dimming setting. Choose this
setting if the TEauto mode does not function satisfactorily and you know that your
lamp needs a Trailing Edge (Tronic) dimmer. The TE mode is preferable if your
lamp consumes under 5 Watts.
LE: This is the Triac (also called Leading Edge) dimming setting. Choose this
setting is the TEauto mode does not function satisfactorily and you are sure that
your lamp needs a Leading Edge dimmer.
