SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR GENERAL USE
As with any other household appliance, we list the following simple rules and instructions to guarantee perfect performance of the
microwave:
1.
When using the microwave, keep the glass plate, the roller supports, and roller guides in their correct position.
2.
Do not use the microwave for anything other than the preparation of food, for example, to dry clothes, paper, or any element that is
not food, nor to sterilize anything.
3.
Do not use the microwave when it is empty. It could damage it.
4.
Do not use the microwave oven cavity to store papers, cook books, etc.
5.
Do not cook any food surrounded by a membrane, such as eggs, potatoes, chicken liver, etc., without having poked them with a
fork.
6.
Do not insert any object in the opening of the external casing.
7.
Do not remove any part of the microwave, such as the rubber feet, the couplings, screws, etc.
8.
Do not cook food directly on the glass plate. Put the food in a proper cooking utensil before putting them it the microwave.
9.
Kitchen elements that should not be used in the microwave:
Containers or plates with metallic handles.
Objects with metallic rims.
Elements covered with paper or plastic bags.
Plates that have material that is able to absorb microwave energy. This could cause the plates to break, and it would slow down the
cooking speed.
Do not cook in a container with a limited opening, such as a bottle or an oil bottle, since they may explode if they are heated in a
microwave .
Do not use conventional thermometers for meats or sweets.
There are thermometers specifically available for cooking with a microwave. These elements can be used.
10. Microwave utensils for should always be used according to the manufacturer's instructions.
11. Do not try to fry food in this microwave.
12. Remember that a microwave only heats the liquid contained in a container instead of it's own container. Therefore, even though the
rim of a container is not hot to touch when removing it from the microwave, remember that the food/liquid inside will release the same
amount of steam and/or splashes as if it were heated otherwise.
13. Always verify the temperature of the cooked food, specially if baby food has been heated or cooked. It is recommended that food/
liquids are not consumed immediately they are removed from the microwave. It is better to let them rest for a few minutes, and stir
the food/liquid to uniformly distribute the heat.

14. Foods that have a mix of grease and water – broth, for example- should remain between 30-60 seconds in the microwave after it has
been turned off. Thus, the mix is allowed to settle, and to avoid the formation of bubbles when a spoon is introduced in the food/liquid,
or when adding a soup cube.
15. When preparing/cooking food/liquids, remember that there some foods, such as puddings, jellies, or purées, that heat quickly. When
heating or cooking food with a high level of grease or sugar, do not use plastic containers.
16. Cooking utensils can be heated due to the temperature transferred by the heated food. You may need hot pads to move the
utensil .
17. To reduce the risk of fire in the microwave cavity:
- Do not overcook the food. Carefully watch the microwave when putting paper, plastic, or any other combustible material inside of
it to make the cooking easier.
- If the materials inside the microwave start to burn, keep the microwave door closed, turn it off and unplug it, or shut off the electrical
supply in the house's fuse or switch panel.
