Microphone Sensitivity Adjustment
The microphone has auto gain adjustment. This feature sets the ideal sensitivity while
listening to the speaking volume. Speak for about 5 seconds near the microphone to set the
ideal volume before recording.
Best performance is normally achieved using an external microphone with the sensitivity
set to High (H)
The default sensitivity is set to High when the device is shipped. The options are as follows:
● High (H): 0 dB (Typical for most microphones and situations)
● Medium (M): - 3 dB (Typical for some external microphones)
● Low (L): - 6 dB (Typical for high volume external microphones)
To change the sensitivity move the sensitivity switch on the side of the device. You may hear
increased noise in the M and L positions.
Note: You may hear some popping when changing sensitivity or microphone input options. This is
normal and not recommended to change while recording.
External Microphones
The MightyMic Pro supports connecting external microphones designed for Smartphone
headphone jacks such as the MightyMic series of microphones. The microphone must have 4 pins
on the plug in order to work correctly. Earbuds with switches (Like EarPods) and 3-pin
microphones made for camera's will not work with this device.
Simply insert the microphone into the headphone jack and move the switch from the internal
microphone setting (I) to the external microphone setting (E). To switch back to the internal
microphone you must move the switch back to the internal microphone setting (I) on the side of the
device.
