The receiver may be installed in one of two ways: 1. Attached to an inside wall of the garage with connecting bell wire;
2. Mounted directly on the door opener with clips provided. When installing two or more receivers in a garage, position
them at least 3m apart to prevent electronic interference.
Caution: Do not attempt to open receiver back panel. NO USER SERVICEABLE PARTS.
Install the receiver out of the reach of children. Do not allow children to operate receiver or remote
control. Serious personal injury from a closing garage door may result from misuse of the opener.
Disconnect power to opener before installing receiver.
Mounting Receiver on Opener
A
Make sure antenna wire is fully extended (1).
Loosen the three terminal screws on receiver (labeled 1,
2 and 3) (2). Insert one end of a mounting clip (3) under
each terminal. Make sure clips are positioned to clear
receiver flange (4), as shown. DO NOT RETIGHTEN AT
THIS TIME.
Loosen the three terminal screws on the opener (5) used
for the push button controls and radio power.
Leaving the push button bell wire in place, insert other
ends of the mounting clips (3) under the opener terminal
screws (5).
NOTE: If the number sequence of opener terminals
doesn't match the receiver, turn the receiver around (so
back is facing out) and complete the connection.
Terminals 1, 2 and 3 on the receiver MUST be
connected to terminals 1, 2 and 3 on the opener.
Retighten the terminal screws on opener and receiver.
Reconnect power to opener. Receiver push button (6)
should light. If it does not, check terminal connection
procedure, or connect 24V output transformer.
Program Receiver to Match Code
C
Program the receiver for each 433MHz remote as follows:
1. Pry open the front panel of the receiver case (1) with a
coin or a screwdriver and locate the "Smart" button (2)
as shown.
2. Press and hold push button on the remote control.
Press and release the "Smart" button on the receiver.
The adjacent indicator light (3) will flash. Release the
remote push button. Now the receiver will operate with
the remote(s).
If you release the remote control push button before
the receiver light flashes, the receiver has not learned
the code.
To Erase all Remote Control Codes:
Press and hold the "Smart" button on the receiver until the
indicator light turns off (about 6 seconds). All the codes
the receiver has learned will be erased.
Replacement for 3-Wire Radio Control Systems
Mounting Receiver on Garage Wall
B
Fasten the receiver to an inside garage wall with the
6ABx1" screws provided. Use anchors if installing into
drywall. A convenient place is alongside the service door
and OUT OF THE REACH OF CHILDREN.
Attach one end of 3-strand bell wire to receiver terminal
screws 1, 2 and 3 (1). Connect the other end to the three
opener terminal screws used for push button controls and
radio power (2) as shown. Use insulated staples, if
possible, to secure bell wire between receiver and
opener.
The receiver can be set for either constant or momentary
closure on the output contacts. With the jumper (3) in the
"MOM" (4) (Momentary) position, the contacts will close
for 0.25 seconds regardless of the length of radio
transmission. With the jumper in the "CONST" (5)
(Constant) position, the contacts will stay closed as long
as the radio continues transmitting. The receiver is factory
set at "MOM".
Reconnect power to the opener. The receiver push button
should light. If it does not, check terminal connection
procedure, a short in the wiring, or connect 24V output
transformer.
