REPLACING A MULTI-PORT VALVE ON A SAND FILTER
FOR WATERWAY ROUND FILTERS
2004 AND AFTER: USE VALVE WVS003
• It is not necessary to remove existing threaded sleeve on filter.
Threaded Sleeve
1. Remove connections and unthread old multi-port valve from filter body.
Multi-Port
2. Attach new multi-port valve and thread onto filter body.

2002 AND 2003: USE VALVE WVS003

Split-Nut
• It is necessary to remove existing threaded sleeve on filter and replace
Body
with new sleeve.
1. Remove connections and unthread old multi-port valve from filter body.
2. Using a Phillips screw driver, remove threaded sleeve on filter body.
3. Replace with the new threaded sleeve.
4. Attach new multi-port valve and thread onto filter body.
2001 AND OLDER: USE CLAMP-STYLE VALVE WVS002 ONLY
• Threaded-Style sleeve will not work on 2001 and older sand filters.
Clamp
Instead of a split-nut style as shown on the multi-port valve above, this is a
clamp with two bolts, as shown opposite, to hold the multi-port valve to the
sand filter body.
1. Remove connections and unbolt old multi-port valve from filter body.
2. Attach new multi-port valve with new clamp, using nuts and bolts provided.
