TA400 PICO AUTOMOTIVE SCOPE PROBE
The frequency derating plot below indicates the full-scale measurement limit for this probe.
To avoid overloading the probe, note that its maximum input voltage rating decreases as the
frequency of the applied signal increases.
This probe does not carry a measurement category rating. To prevent electric shock, do not
connect to a mains (line) voltage or a derived voltage that can carry the overvoltage transients
that may be present. Measurement categories for the automotive scope probe are defined in IEC
61010-031 as follows:
No Measurement Category (not in CAT II, CAT III or CAT IV)
Definition
For measurements performed on circuits not directly connected to a mains supply.
Do not use the TA411 probe tip adaptor for connection to hazardous live voltages.
TA432 PICO RESISTANCE LEADS
Pico resistance measuring accessories having terminals marked with
disconnected circuits where no voltage is present.
Attempting to measure the resistance of a conductor where a voltage is present will give
inaccurate readings and may damage the resistance measurement accessory, the scope and any
other accessories connected to your PC.
CURRENT PROBES
Most current probes have a tactile barrier provide for user safety.
To prevent injury or death, do not hold any current probe with a tactile barrier anywhere beyond the
barrier when in use.
