If taking multiple measurements, please allow 10 min-

utes between measurements. This will allow your blood
vessels to return to their normal state.
If you have consumed beverages containing caffeine or

have smoked, please allow 30 - 45 minutes before tak-
ing your measurement.
Do not place the cuff over a jack-

et or sweater sleeve; it must be
wrapped around your exposed
upper arm.
• Keep in mind that blood pressure
naturally varies from time to time
throughout the day and is affect-
ed by many different factors, such
as smoking, alcohol consumption,
medication, and physical activity.
• Make sure the cuff plug is attached to the monitor as
shown above.
