EARTHING AND SHORT-CIRCUIT EQUIPMENT FOR MEDIUM VOLTAGE OVERHEAD

COMPOSITION
2 aluminium + 1 portable aluminium alloy clamps closing by screw and bayonet fixing for cylindrical conductors with
diameter between 4 and 30 mm; 45 mm flat bars and 20-25 mm fixing points.
2 copper insulated cables and cross section according to the model (see table) for the short-circuit of
the phases.
1 copper insulated cable and cross section according to the model (see table) for the earthing.
1 self-milling earthing lathe.
1 Earthing rod.
1 telescopic 2 m long manoeuvring pole with a nylon bag, for its transportation and storage.
1 plastic case to store and carry the equipment.
Composition according to customer specification.

Short-circuit current "Icc": See table.
Temperature range: -25°C a 55°C.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
1. Drive in the earthing rod and secure the earthing screw strongly to it.
2. Extend the pole to its maximum length and fix it.
3. Place the carrier clamp on the pole and place the other two clamps on their corresponding supports.
4. Tight the portable clamp to the conductor by screwing and tight it strongly to avoid any accidental loss.
5. Unhook the second clamp from the portable clamp and tight it to the next conductor and tight it up strongly to
avoid any accidental loss.
6. Repeat the point 5 with last clamp.
7. For the uninstallation of the equipment, proceed in the reverse way.
MAINTENANCE
Before and after using the earthing and short-circuit equipment, clean and check all the parts if any defect is
detected, it must not be used and it must be rejected.
