Trim first the sides then the top of the hedge.

To achieve an even cut on the sides, cut from bottom to top along the line of growth. Cutting from
top to bottom causes small branches to splay, producing thin patches or holes.
3)
To achieve an even cut on the top, extend a plumb line along the length of the hedge at the desired
height.
4)
Take care not to cut through objects like wires that might damage the blades or motor.
5)
Switch off the equipment immediately in the event that the blades are blocked by solid objects, pull
out the power plug then remove the object.
6)
Always work away from the mains power outlet. Set the cutting direction before starting work.
Ensure that the power cable is kept well away from the working area. Never lay the cable over the
hedge, where it could easily be caught up in the trimmer blades.
7)
Avoid overstraining the equipment during work.

Starting and stopping
Hold the hedge trimmer away from yourself using both hands. Stand in a secure and stable
position.
Starting:
Press and hold the rear handle switch lever 1 (Fig. 09, page 07). Squeeze the front handle switch
lever 2 (Fig. 09, page 07).
Stopping:
Release any of the switch levers 1 and 2 (Fig. 09, page 07).
Pull out the power plug immediately if the cable is damaged, badly twisted or has been
completely cut through.
Intended use
The equipment is specified for use only for the cutting and trimming of hedges, bushes and ornamental
shrubs in the private environment. Any other use that is not explicitly approved in these instructions
may result in damage to the equipment and represent a serious danger to the user. The equipment is
designed for use by adults. Do not use the hedge trimmer in the rain or on wet hedges. The manufacturer
is not liable for damages caused by unspecified use or incorrect operation.
