SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
When using electrical appliances, you should follow at all times certain basic safety rules, including the following:

Read all the instructions before using the appliance.

Make sure that the local mains voltage is the right one for your appliance.

To prevent electric shocks, do not immerse the power cord, plug or the appliance itself in water or any other liquid.

Keep a close watch when the appliance is being used by children or children are nearby.

Unplug the appliance when it is not in use and before cleaning. Do not detach the parts if it is not necessary.

If the power cord is damaged, it should be replaced by the manufacturer or its authorised technical service or
by a qualified technician in order to prevent hazards.

Do not use any attachment not supplied by the appliance's manufacturer.

For domestic use only.

The power cord must not be left hanging over the table or counter edge or touching hot surfaces.

Do not place the appliance above or near a lit gas burner or a hot electric plate or in a heated oven.

Always plug the power cord into the appliance first and then into the wall socket. To turn off the appliance, turn
the setting selector to "0" and then remove the plug from the wall socket.

Do not insert metal utensils or oversized food in the appliance as this may cause a fire or an electric shock hazard.

Do not place the appliance near or touching inflammable material such as curtains or upholstery, when it is operating.

Do not clean the appliance with metal scouring pads. Small fragments may break off and touch the electric
parts, giving rise to an electric shock hazard.

Do not store in this appliance any material except the attachments recommended by the manufacturer when it
is not being used.

Do not place any of the following materials inside the appliance: paper, cardboard, plastic, etc.
BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME

All of the blender's parts must be cleaned thoroughly before using for the first time (see Cleaning).

Remove the required cord length from the blender base and connect to the mains.
ASSEMBLING THE GLASS JAR

Place the rubber sealing washer (4) on the inside edge of the blade unit (5).
-
Insert the blade assembly in the jar base (6) and the glass jar on top of the blade assembly. Turn the jar
clockwise until the blades are firmly screwed to the jar.

Insert the measuring beaker (1) in the lid (2).
-
Place the lid on the glass jar and press downwards.
INSERTING THE GLASS JAR

Make sure that the blender is turned off (selector at "0").
-
Place the jar unit on the motor base (7) and press downwards.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
-
Place the food you wish to blend in the glass jar.
-
Place the lid on the glass jar and close tightly. Insert the measuring beaker in the hole in the lid and turn
clockwise to lock in position.
