Before You Begin
CAUTION: Risk of personal injury. Do not set the water
temperature above 120°F (49°C). Setting the water
temperature at or below this temperature will minimize the
risk associated with scalding hazards. It is the installer's
responsibility to properly install the valve and adjust the
maximum water temperature of the valve.
NOTICE: Use the thick wall installation kit (provided) when
attaching this valve to thick wall material such as tile, plaster,
marble, or similar materials. Use the thin wall installation kit (not
provided) when attaching this valve to thin wall material such as
fiberglass or acrylic. The proper kit will properly secure the valve.
NOTICE: Do not apply excessive heat to the valve body when
soldering. This valve contains plastic and rubber components which
can melt if excessive heat is applied.
NOTICE: Do not apply flux or acids directly to the valve. Such
substances will damage the seals, plastic components, and trim
finish.
NOTICE: Only apply silicone based lubricants to the valve. Do not
apply petroleum based lubricants to the valve components which
will damage the O-rings, seals, and plastic components.
Observe all local plumbing and building codes.
This valve requires a minimum operating pressure of 15 psi (103.4
kPa).
