RIGID CERVICAL COLLAR

Properties:
• Two anatomically-shaped moulded shells, made of hypoallergenic
polyethylene foam:
- an anterior shell, with chin and sternal support,
- a posterior shell, with occipital and upper dorsal support.
• Anterior tracheal opening.
• Easy velcro fastening.
• Radio-transparent.
Indications:
Strict immobilisation after serious neck injuries, post-operative
immobilisation, severe cervical spine sprains.
Contraindication:
Do not apply the product in direct contact with broken skin.
Fitting instructions:
- After selecting the right size, apply the back part of the collar over the
patient's neck.
- Then apply the front part of the collar with the patient's chin placed on
the support provided.
- Centre the collar to achieve neutral alignment.
- Fasten the velcro: the front part overlaps the back part.
Precautions:
Follow the advice of the health professional who prescribed or supplied the
product. Consult your health professional if discomfort occurs.
Store at room temperature, preferably in its original packaging.
For hygiene and performance reasons, do not re-use the product for another
patient.
Washing instructions:
- See product label.
- Do not use detergents, fabric softeners or aggressive products (products
containing chlorine)
- Dry away from heat sources.
