5 - REPLACEMENT OF THE HOSE (Model DGF)

WARNING: FOR SAFETY REASONS, THE HOSE MUST BE REPLACED ON THE BENCH.
Use a hose with dimension and pressure characteristics suited to the use.
(See table of characteristics).
1.
Remove the rubber stop and slowly let out the hose until the spring is completely released
(Figure A).
2.
Unscrew the turning connection (Figure A).
3.
Remove the two screws on the spring hub with a 10 mm spanner (Figure B).
4.
Remove the four screws keeping the two case halves closed. Remove the case halves,
the roller holder and completely unwind the hose out of the drum (Figure C).
5.
Remove the drum, unscrew the inside connection piece with the right size spanner
and mount a new hose (Figure D).
6.
Refit the winder by reversing the order of operations. Lubricate the holder and catch if necessary.
7.
Fit the stop approximately 30 cm from the opposite end of the hose (Figure E).
8.
Insert a 14 mm hexagonal wrench completely into the hub hole on the spring side. Unscrew
the 2 screws of the hub, holding the hub in position with the hexagonal wrench (Figure F).
9.
Turn the wrench anti-clockwise and reel the hose until the limit stop is in contact with the
roller support (Figure G).
10.
Prestress the spring by continuing to turn the wrench anti-clockwise (1.5 turns), hold in
position and fasten using 2 screws.
11.
Unreel and reel the hose completely to check that the hose reel functions correctly (Figure H).
12.
Slide the limit stop to the required distance from the end of the hose (minimum 1m).
6 - MOUNTING OF THE HOSE
1.
Fix the hose reel to the bench.
2.
Remove the access door with a
screwdriver (Figure I).
3.
Insert the hose in the guiding rollers,
bring it up to the coupling located
in the drum and tighten it with the
suitable wrench (Figure J).
4.
Follow above instructions starting from point 7.
DO NOT PLACE YOUR HANDS INSIDE THE HOSE REEL.
5.
Reassemble the access cover.
