2.1
Intended use
The pluggable switch PS 21001 and the pluggable switch and meter PSM
are system components of the Alpha IP system and serve
• for installation in environments of residential use,
• for the switching of electrical consumers (PS 21001 and PSM 21001)
• for the registration of measured data (only PSM 21001),
• for the regulation of the actual temperature by controlling an elec-
trical radiator and
• for the wireless connection of further Alpha IP components
Every other use, modification and conversion is expressively forbidden.
Improper use leads to dangers the manufacturer cannot be held liable
for and will exempt guarantees and liabilities.
2.2
Safety notes
All safety notes in these instructions must be observed in order to avoid
accidents causing personal damage or property damage. No liability is
assumed for personal damage and property damage caused by improper
use or non-observance of the danger notes. In such cases any warranty
claim is invalid. There is no liability for consequential damages.
• Only use the device if it is in flawless state.
• Only connect the device to a well accessible power outlet.
• Pull the power cord off the power outlet in case of danger.
• Only use the device in fixed wall power outlets.
• Do not use the device in socket strips or with extension cables.
• Prior to connecting a consumer, observe the technical data – in par-
ticular the maximum admissible switching power of the relay – and
the type of the consumer to be connected.
• Observe the performance limits of the device and its environmental
conditions. Overload may lead to a destruction of the device, to fire,
or to an electrical accident.
• Do not connect or switch consumers (e. g. flat irons) the unintend-
ed and unattended switching of which could lead to fire or to other
