2 . Attach the suction tubing to the Suction Inlet.
3 . Check to see that the ON/OFF Switch is in the
OFF position.
4 . Turn the Control Knob fully counterclockwise.
5 . Plug power cord into electrical outlet.
6 . Turn the ON/OFF Switch to the ON position.
7 . Turn the Control Knob clockwise to adjust the
Vacuum Gauge to the setting specified by your
physician or qualified health care professional.
NOTE: As the knob is turned counterclockwise the
vacuum will decrease, as the knob is turned clock-
wise the vacuum will increase.
CAUTION
The Collection Jar should be emptied after
every use. NEVER let the fluid level exceed
the "Safe Full" line. Overflow can damage
the Aspirator.

REPLACING THE HYDROPHOBIC
FILTER TUBING ASSEMBLY
(FIGURE 3)
NOTE: Either of the following conditions may re-
quire replacement of the Hydrophobic Filter Tub-
ing assembly: a) the filter is dirty and the aspirator
has lost suction. b) there is liquid in the hydropho-
bic filter tubing assembly due to extended use or
overflow.
1 . Remove the Elbow Connector end of the Hy-
drophobic Filter Tubing assembly from the top
of the Collection Jar.
2 . Unthread the Hydrophobic Filter Tubing assem-
bly from the Vacuum Gauge and discard.
CAUTION
Use only a hydrophobic bacteria filter. DO NOT
replace with other types of bacteria filters.
3 . Install new hydrophobic filter tubing assembly
by reversing STEPS 1-2.
NOTE: Hand tighten the N E W
tubing assembly into the Vacuum Gauge. A loose
filter may decrease suction.
NOTE: If necessary, twist the elbow connector to
align with the collection jar.
