Installing the MITO-03
Note: The factory satellite radio and Bluetooth modules must be disconnected
from the vehicle. Failure to perform these steps will cause the factory amplifier to
not play properly.
1. Find and disconnect the factory satellite radio module.
• The satellite module for the Lancer, Outlander and Outlander Sport can be
located high in the passenger side kick panel.
2. Find and disconnect the factory Bluetooth module.
• The Bluetooth module for the Lancer can be located behind the
glove box, up high.
• The Bluetooth module for the Outlander and Outlander Sport can be
located below the factory radio.
3. Connect the 18-pin and 20-pin harness into the vehicle.
4. With all connections completed, reconnect the negative battery terminal.

Initializing and adjusting
• Initialize the interface by turning the ignition on for 30 seconds, then turn the
ignition back off, and on again.
• If the speakers are too loud, or not loud enough, you can adjust the output by
following the steps below:
1. Locate the end of the MITO-02 with the 16-pin harness with stripped leads.
2. Using a small flat-blade screwdriver, turn the gain knob clockwise to make
it louder, or counterclockwise to make it lower.
