THERMOSTAT INTERFACE CARD FOR FAN COILS
VMF-SIT 3: VMF Thermostat Interface Board. Mandatory accessory on the VED unit supplied with VMF-E0 / E1 thermostat.
VMF-SIT 3
The VMF-SIT3 accessory returns the control of the three
speeds to the fan coil.
The VMF-SIT3 interface card is dedicated to the fan coils with
VMF E0 E1 thermostats, except for models in which
absorption of the motor does not exceed 0.7A
Every fan coil must be interfaced with a VMF-SIT3 card
VMF-SIT3 is supplied with a 2A fuse for protection of the fan
coil
If the fan coils absorb more than 2A and up to 4A, the fuse
inside must be replaced with a 4A fuse, (supplied).
For absorption over 4A, the VMF-SIT3 accessory cannot be
used
VMF-SIT3 INSTALLATION WITH VMF ZONES MANAGEMENT
ATTENTION: before carrying out any intervention, make
sure that the electric power supply has been disconnected.
ATTENTION: before carrying out any work, wear the
appropriate individual protection devices.
WARNING: the electric connections, installation of the
fan coils and their accessories must only be performed by
subjects with the technical-professional requisites for
installation, transformation, extension and maintenance of
the systems and able to check the same for safety and
functionality purposes.
The VMF-SIT3 accessory is made up from:
- interface board (with fuse 2A)
- motor cable extension (electric plant) thermostats cable -
power supply cable - motor connection cable
- omega guide
- 4A delayed fuse (to use with absorption over 2A).
The VMF-SIT3 accessory must be assembled on the side of
the VED unit
- For assembly , fix the 35mm omega DIN guide to the side
with the 2 screws supplied (fig 1)
- engage the interface board to the guide (fig 2);
- Connect the cables (supplied) as indicated in the wiring
diagrams:
- replace the motor cable with the cable supplied
- connect the cable connector to the motor
-fix the motor cable terminals to the clamps (OUTPUT) of the
VMF-SIT3 board
- connect the earth cable to the faston on the frame
- connect the cable (BLUE) to the clamp (N)
- fix the thermostat cable terminals to the clamps (INPUT) of
the VMF-SIT3 board
- engage the connection cable connector to the VMF-E0/E1
thermostat
- connect the power supply cable (L) to the VMF-SIT3 board
and to the thermostat power supply
- connect the earth cable to the faston on the frame
