• Make sure that the appliance has cooled down before
cleaning and putting it away.
• Make sure that the cord never comes into contact
with the hot parts of the appliance.
• Always unplug the appliance from the mains when
not in use, especially because it does not have an on/
off switch.
• Only use the appliance for food suitable for cooking.
• This appliance must be kept clean at all times as
it comes into direct contact with food. Consult the
"Cleaning" section in the instruction manual.
• Make sure that the appliance never comes into
contact with inflammable materials, like curtains,
dish cloths, etc... when in use, as it could cause a
fire. Keep a distance of at least 1 metre between the
appliance and the curtains.
• Do not use the appliance for defrosting food (except
bread) and only use slices of bread without butter whose
thickness does not prevent the bread from coming out.
You must be very strict about this, as toasters can cause
fires if these safety measures are not observed.
• Empty the appliance of breadcrumbs frequently.
