CAUTION
• Implement corresponding protective measures if the
metered medium is hazardous!
• Shut off piping system and discharge (empty)!
• Empty backpressure valve and flush with neutral medium!
To disassemble backpressure valve (see Fig. 4):
Set valve in upright position.
Remove protective cap (11).
Release lock nut (14) and adjusting screw (13) until the load on
compression spring (8) is completely relieved.
Release housing screws (12) at valve body (1) and spring dome
(2) and remove.
Lift off spring dome (2).
Using a blunt tool, remove diaphragm (5) out of spring dome (1).
Allow thrust washer (10), spring plate (7), spring (8) and thrust
plate (9) with steel ball (6) to drop out of spring dome (2).
Allow separating disc (3) and piston (10) to drop out of valve
body (1).
Examine diaphragm (5) and valve seat seal (15) for signs of
changes. If in doubt replace!
To disassemble valve seat seal:
PP1, PC1, PV1:
Using a blunt tool, remove valve seat seal (15) out of piston (10).
TT1, SS1 (see Fig. 5):
Clamp piston (10) ensuring no damage is incurred.
Unscrew piston top (16).
Remove valve seat seal (15).
