C - Matching of components
Once the devices have been connected to the mains and the
telephone network, you need to carry out a matching
procedure.

- On the base unit: using a thin pointed object, press once the
button located on the side of the unit. A green lamp lights. It
will remain lit until the matching procedure is completed.

- On the extension: using the same pointed object, press once
the button located on the side of the unit. The lamp lights
and then goes out. This confirms that the matching
operation has succeeded. To check the operation, for
example with a second telephone handset connected to the
extension unit, lift the reciever. The green lamp lights again
and you should now be able to hear the dial tone in the
telephone earpiece.
WPJ 540 EX additional extension - You can add to your installation by
adding additional telephone jacks in other rooms using the WPJ 540 EX
extension units that are available from your reseller (one extension for each
additional telephone jack required). All the extensions can operate using
the same base unit. For each extension, repeat the procedure explained in
step 9 and wait for 5 minutes before carrying out each new matching
operation.

and carry out the matching
