Pool Cleaner Regulator Instructions
About the Pool Regulator
Proper flow is critical to proper operation of pool cleaners.
The 41200-0213 pool regulator allows you to regulate flow
through the pool cleaner, and can be set or adjusted as
needed.
Installing the Regulator
Skimmer only Connection
If your pool does not have a dedicated suction line, con-
nect one end of the submerged line into the top of the reg-
ulator. The regulator cap is not used.

Regulator Installed with the Cap
Install the hose into the dedicated suction port. Use the
cap when the pool has a separate vacuum port.
Adjusting the Regulator
Turn the regulator handle clockwise to increase the flow,
and counterclockwise to decrease flow.
A flow gauge (part number 41200-0212) is available for
use with the regulator. This provides a sure way of check-
ing for proper flow.
Otherwise, observe the cleaner. If the cleaner tends to
climb above the water line, the suction may be too high.
If the cleaner moves sluggishly, and does not climb the
walls, the suction may be too low.
The cleaner should travel along the water line without tak-
ing in air.
Be sure that you install the regulator valve
before you turn on the pump and adjust your cleaning sys-
tem. The valve acts as a safety device as well as regulating
suction through the cleaner.
Pool pump suction is hazardous and can
cause entrapment with severe personal injury or drown-
ing. Turn off pump before attaching hose to the cleaner.
