Installation:
Your 2.5 Watt Solar 12-volt Battery Maintainer may be installed using either the 12V DC Plug or alligator battery
clamps.
(1) Installation Through the 12V DC Plug:
The 12V DC Plug is for connecting the solar battery maintainer to the vehicle battery through a 12V socket. Firstly,
plug the "Quick Connect" end of the 12V DC Plug into the Quick Connect of the solar panel. Then, insert the plug
into the 12V DC socket in the vehicle. Make sure both ends are secure and aligned correctly. The 12V socket in
the vehicle must remain live when the ignition is in the "off" position for the solar panel to charge.
(2) Installation to Battery by Alligator Battery Clamps:
The alligator battery clamps provide a direct connection to the vehicle battery terminals. Plug the "Quick Connect"
end of the battery clamps into the Quick Connect of the solar panel. Then, connect the alligator clamps correctly to
the 12V battery by matching the red clamp (Positive (+)) to the Positive (+) terminal on your battery. Connect the
black clamp ( Negative (-)) to the Negative (-) terminal on your battery.
WARNING: Alligator clips must be placed on the battery in the aforementioned order. Wrong connections may
cause sparking or explosion.
Mounting with Suction Cups to the Windshield:
Insert 2 suction cups into the pre-drilled ends of the solar panel. Make sure they are secured properly in the panel.
Choose a location, preferably facing the sunlight, and attach to the windshield or other glass surface. For best
results, ensure the windshield is dry, clean, at room temperature, and lubricate the suction cups before mounting.
Note: This solar battery maintainer has a built-in blocking diode to prevent discharge.
