Remove cable cover on BeoSound Essence.

Then run cables through the cover.
Connect your speakers to the sockets marked

'PL 1' and 'PL 2' on BeoSound Essence.
Connect BeoSound Essence to the mains

The network indicator flashes white. Wait until

the network indicator flashes orange and you
hear a sound prompt.
Setup using iOS ≥ 7.0
On your iOS device, select 'Settings', then

select 'Wi-Fi' and select your home network.
In the menu 'SET UP NEW AIRPLAY SPEAKER',
select 'BeoSound Essence_xxxxxxxx'.
When the 'AirPlay Setup' menu appears, press

'Next'. The network indicator flashes white and
when it becomes solid white, your BeoSound
Essence is connected to your network. When the
'Setup Complete' menu appears, press 'Done'.
Setup
Setup using Android /iOS < 7.0
Enable Wi-Fi on your iOS or Android or iOS

device. Select 'BeoSound Essence_xxxxxxxx'
as your wireless network. Download the BeoSetup
App from App Store or Google Play.
Open the BeoSetup App and select

'BeoSound Essence_xxxxxxxx' under
'PRODUCTS FOUND ON YOUR NETWORK' and
select 'OK' to accept automatic software updates as
well as log information.
Select the menu 'NETWORK' and select your

home network from the 'Network name
(SSID)' dropdown list. Enter the network password if
required. Then press 'APPLY CHANGES' and close
the app. The network indicator flashes white and
when it becomes solid white, your BeoSound
Essence is connected to your network.
Pair BeoSound Essence Remote*
Press and hold the
button on BeoSound

Essence Remote for 10 seconds. The indicator
on your remote flashes green. Press the PAIRING
button on BeoSound Essence for 2 seconds. The
pairing status indicator flashes blue. When you hear
a sound prompt, your BeoSound Essence and
BeoSound Essence Remote are paired.
Bluetooth pairing
To pair BeoSound Essence with your device,

switch on Bluetooth on the device. BeoSound
Essence is always open for pairing with other
Bluetooth devices.*
and select 'BeoSound Essence_xxxxxxxx'. Wait for
your device to confirm that BeoSound Essence and
your device are paired.
Use BeoMusic App
Download BeoMusic App from App Store or

Google Play. Use the app to browse, search
and play music from a hand-held device, such as an
iPhone/iPad or Android device, to your BeoSound
Essence.

* BeoSound Essence Remote may have to be

purchased separately.
* If you no longer want BeoSound Essence to be open

for Bluetooth pairing, you can change this using the
BeoSetup App.
