LCD error messages :
The thermometer may display the following error messages :
- "Err" is displayed when the ambient temperature is below 0°C or above +40°C.
- HI or LO is displayed when the measured temperature is outside the measuring
range.
Replacing the batteries :
The thermometer incorporates visual low battery indication as follows :
Batteries OK, measurements are possible
Batteries low, battery needs to be replaced,
measurements are still possible
Batteries exhausted, measurements are not
possible.
- When the low battery icon appears on the display, the batteries should be replaced
immediately with new AAA, 1,5V batteries.
- Ensure that the thermometer has turned off before replacing the batteries, otherwise it
may malfunction.
- Make sure that the polarity connections are correct when you install batteries.
- Dispose of used batteries promptly and keep them away from children.
The consumer is obliged by law to recycle all used batteries and accumulators. It is for-
bidden to throw them in the ordinary bin! Refer to the environmental protection details.
Storage and cleaning :
The sensor lens is the most delicate part of the thermometer and must remain clean at
all times. Use a soft cloth or cotton swab with water or medical alcohol to clean the lens.
Care must be taken when cleaning. Allow the lens to dry completely before using the
thermometer. Do not immerse any part of the thermometer in a liquid. When not in use,
the thermometer should be stored at an ambient temperature of -20°C to 50°C.
