Supervise young children to make sure that they do not play with the appliance. Close
supervision is necessary when the appliance is being used by or near children.
3. BEFORE USE
1.
Remove all packaging materials.
2.
Clean the non-stick plates with a soft, dampened cloth.
3.
Slightly grease the non-stick baking plates with some oil or butter using an absorbent
kitchen towel.
4.
Wipe off any excess oil.
4. OPERATION
WARNING: A slight odour and smoke might appear when heating the device for the first time.
This is due to manufacturing materials residues and does not affect the appliance's operating.
However, it may affect the first set of waffles' flavour and it is recommended not to eat these.
PREPARING YOUR WAFFLE MAKER
1.
Preheat the waffle maker by turning the temperature control knob to maximum.
2.
Close the waffle maker and plug it into the wall outlet. The red power light will turn on,
indicating that the appliance has started preheating.
3.
It will take approximately 5 to 8 minutes to reach the optimal baking temperature. The
green light will remain on while the appliance is heating and will turn off when it is ready
to be used.
4.
Turn the temperature knob and select the desired cooking temperature. "Low" cooking
temperatures will produce less-cooked, light-coloured waffles and "High" ones, crisper,
darker waffles.
5.
Before baking the first waffles, use a pastry brush to lightly coat the upper and lower
plate with vegetable oil, butter or any non-stick cooking spray.
NOTE: It is suggested to select a middle temperature at first. During the process, the
temperature can be adjusted lower or higher, according to each one's likes.
BAKING WAFFLES
1.
Once the green light indicator turns off, the appliance has reached the optimal cooking
temperature.
2.
Pour the waffle dough into the bottom plate. Pour enough amount of dough as to fully
cover the bottom plate. At this point, the green light indicator will turn on indicating the
start of the baking process.
3.
Close the product's cover and rotate it 180º clockwise. Do not open it for at least 1½
minutes. Opening the lid too soon will cause under-baked waffles to break, making them

difficult to remove.
4.
When the green light turns off again, rotate the cover 180° anti-clockwise. If the waffles
have not been cooked enough, close again and wait a few more minutes.
5.
Use non-metallic utensils to remove waffles from the appliance.
6.
If more waffles are going to be cooked, make sure the lid is closed in order to maintain
heat.
7.
When you have finished preparing waffles, unplug the power cord from the wall outlet
and allow it to cool down in order to avoid burns.
WAFFLE BAKING TIPS
1.
Do not over mix waffle dough. Stir only until dry-ingredient lumps disappear.
2.
The optimal amount of waffle dough will vary depending on the type of dough. To find the
optimal amount, use a cup to measure the first times and remember for next uses.
3.
Fill the bottom plate with enough dough to cover the peak areas, about ¾ to 1 cup.
4.
For more evenly-shaped waffles, use a non-metallic spatula to spread the dough before
closing the lid.
5.
Cake-based waffles, such as the chocolate waffles, are more tender than regular waffles
and may require more care when removing from waffle maker. You may want to cut these
waffles into halves or quarters before removing.
6.
When serving several waffles at one time, keep waffles hot and crisp by placing them on
a rack in a preheated oven until they are all ready to serve.
7.
Precooked waffles can be reheated by introducing them in the waffle maker again and
selecting low temperature.
8.
Precooked waffles can be frozen with no problem. Store them in a plastic freezer bag or
covered container and place them in the freezer. Take them out and heat them in an oven
or toaster whenever they are going to be eaten.
WARNING: always unplug the appliance and allow it to cool down before removing or turning
around the reversible reversible plate.
5. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
•
Always turn off and unplug the appliance after each use and before cleaning.
•
Do not immerse the appliance in water or other liquid.
•
Do not place in the dishwasher.
•
Use a soft, dampened cloth to clean the product's visible parts.
•
Brush away any loose crumbs from the grooves. Wipe both plates with a paper towel and
make sure any remaining oil or butter is absorbed.
•
Do not use metal utensils to remove your waffles, they can damage the non-stick surface.
•
If dough is overcooked and stuck to the plate, pour some cooking oil and let it sit for about
