A.
Installation, Mounting
Caution: Turn off 0769008 and the electrical devices (e.g. heater, cooler) which will be
connected before installation.
It is highly recommended that the installation procedure is processed by trained
personnel.
1. Installation Location
The thermostat should be mounted on an inner wall 1.5m above the floor in position
where it is readily affected by changes of the general room temperature with freely
circulating air. Prevent direct exposure to sunlight; dripping or splashing area. Do not
place this unit at a location where air circulation is low, or where it has great temperature
changes (e.g. near door). Do not place the thermostat near heat/cool generating sources.
2. Wiring
There are 3 wiring terminals at the bottom of 0769008 base housing, labeled as
"C"(COOL), "H"(HEAT) and "L"(LIVE). Connect Cooler and Heater to the "COOL"
and "HEAT" terminals. Leave unused holes blank.
Wire the correct cables to the terminal block according to the circuit diagram at the back
of the thermostat. Push all cables back into wall prior to fixing to avoid trapping wires. It
is recommended that a 6A fuse is fitted.
3. Mounting
5. Remove front part by placing the screw driver between front part and wallplate and
pull front part up and away (Step 1)
6. Rotate the plastic screw at the cover door to horizontal position to open the cover
door (Step 2 and 3)
7. Follow the diagram at the back of wallplate to wire the cables. (Step 4)
8. Close and lock the cover door by turning the plastic screw to vertical position. (Step
5 and 6).
9. Use the provided screws and wall anchors to mount the wallplate with the key-hole
at the back. (Step 7)
10. Place the new batteries according to the marking on the battery drawer. (Step 8)
11. Engage tabs at the top of 0769008 and wallplate (Step 9)
12. Press lower edge of case and latch (Step 10)

Remarks: Before latching the front part with the wallplate, make sure the three connect
pins insert into the terminal block contact holes precisely.

B. Start/Reset
1. After wiring and mounting, switch off all the connected devices. Place 2 new AA 1.5V
alkaline batteries according to the polarities marked. LCD display will be switched on.
2. Press 'RST' to reset. 0769008 will be ready to control the heater / cooler.
3. Switch On the heater / cooler. The heater / cooler will remain OFF until 0769008
activates the output ON with
rotating.
C. Operation
1. Slide Switch
i. Heat/ Off/ Cool Slide Switch
Set the HEAT/OFF/COOL slide switch at HEAT <
COOL <
> position in summer. Set the slide switch at OFF
position to turn off the thermostat.
ii. Delay/ No Delay Slide Switch
The slide switch inside the unit sets the minimum off time of the heater/cooler:

Note: When COOL is set, the minimum off time is fixed at 5 minutes.
D. Normal Time Setting Mode
1. Press <
>, the Day of Week (1-7) will flash, press < > / < > to set the Day of
Week.
2. Press <
>, the Hour will flash, press < > / < > to set the Hour.
3. Press <
>, the Minute will flash, press < > / < > to set the Minute.
4. Press <
> will jump back to the step 1.
5. Press <
> to confirm the settings and return to Normal Mode. Or operation will
return to normal mode after 10 seconds.
6. Jumper selection for 12/24HR display can be selected on the PCB inside the unit during
installation. Factory pre-set setting is 24HR.
E. Setting Program
1. Press <PRG>, the Day of Week (1-7) will flash, press < > / < > to select the Day for
program adjustment.
2. Press <PRG>, the Program Number P(0~6,8,10~16,18) will flash.
3. Press < > / < > to select the desired Program number.
Factory Defined Programs - FTY PROG (0-6,8):
i.

User Program - USER PROG (10~16,18):
I. Press < > / < > to select the user program.

> to select comfort / Economy setting for each hour.

F. Comfort and Economy Temperature Setting
1. Hold <

> for 1 sec will enter Comfort and Economy Temperature Setting
mode.
2. Press < > / < > to adjust the temperature setting.

> jump back to Normal Time Mode, or auto-return after 10 seconds.
G. Temporary Override Mode
1. Temporary Override Mode can change the current program mode to the opposite
program mode temporarily. The time when next program of opposite state or the
next day is reached, Temporary Override mode will be released automatically.

H. Comfort / Economy Hold Timer
1. Comfort / Economy Hold Timer can force the thermostat to run at either Comfort
mode or Economy mode for a defined period of time.

I. Special Conditions
1. If battery is LOW, "C", "P" and " : "will be flashing, the recent batteries must be
replaced with new one.
2. When room temperature is below 5°C, Defrost "df" is displayed. Heat output will
turn ON and Cool output will turn OFF.
3. Below 0°C, L is displayed. Heat output will turn ON and Cool output will turn OFF.
4. Above 39.5°C, H is displayed. Heat output will turn OFF and Cool output will
turn ON.
J. Replace The Battery
Caution: Turn off the electrical devices and disconnect the supply to the
appliances before replacing the batteries. Replace only with the same or
equivalent type of batteries. Do not dispose the used batteries with household
waste. Refer to your local area for the proper disposal.

Dispose the old batteries properly.

Press lower edge of case and latch (Step 10 of figure 1).
7.
Check if the thermostat works properly or not.
