If the motor is to be used outdoors, the PVC power supply
cable [VVF, 60227 (IEC)] must be installed in a duct (under
a tray).
1.4 Safety instructions relating to installation
Before installing the motorisation, remove any unnecessary
cords or chains and deactivate any locking device (bolt)
which is not required for motorised operation.
A fall protection device must be installed to ensure personal
safety and prevent damage to equipment if one of the
connection components between the transmission and
the door shaft accidentally ruptures. Use a fall protection
device referenced in the documentation available from
your Somfy adviser.
Modifying one of the elements provided in this kit or using
an additional element not recommended in this manual is
strictly prohibited.
Do not use adhesive to secure the motorisation.
Install the operating element less than 1.80 m from the
ground.
As the mobile component of the repair device is removable,
it is recommended to store it in the immediate vicinity of the
door.
Fasten the label concerning crushing and the manual
override mechanism close to the operating element in a
After installation, check that the manual override mechanism
works correctly.
> Clothing precautions
Take off any jewellery (bracelet, chain, etc.) during
installation.
For manoeuvring, drilling and welding operations, wear
appropriate protection (special glasses, gloves, ear
protection, etc.).
