Danger from electricity
Do not operate the device with wet hands.
Do not operate the device outdoors.
Only connect the device to a correctly installed and functioning mains outlet with
a voltage that corresponds to the "Technical data".
Ensure that the mains outlet is readily accessible so that you can quickly unplug
the power cord, if necessary.
Always switch off the kettle before adding water.
Do not operate the kettle unattended.
Do not use the device:
− if the kettle or the base are damaged,
− if the mains power cord or the mains plug are damaged,
− if the kettle has fallen down.
Unwind the mains power cord completely before each use. When doing so, make
sure that the mains power cord is not damaged by sharp edges or hot objects.
Pull the mains plug out of the socket:
− when you are not using the kettle,
− after each use,
− before cleaning or putting away the machine,
− if there appears to be a malfunction during operation,
− during thunderstorms.
Always pull on the mains plug, not on the mains power cord.
Do not make any changes to the device or the mains power cord. Have repairs
carried out only by a specialist workshop as improperly repaired devices endanger
the user. Please also note the enclosed warranty conditions.
Do not use an extension cable.
Risk of burns, scalds and fire
The kettle becomes hot during use. Burns risk! Only grab it by the handle.
Hot steam escapes during heating and boiling. There is a danger of scalding if
touched!
Close the lid before switching on the device. Otherwise the hot water could boil
over. Make sure that the lid is locked.
