FORKLIFT STROBE LIGHT

Pedestrian Safety Light x 1
1. To operate, hardwire light to a switched power
source so light is either powered all times the truck is
on or when the forklift is put into drive or reverse.
NOTE: All hardwiring should be performed by
a qualified electrician. If unsure of the correct
electrical hookup location, contact local
forklift dealer. Length of wire needed will vary
by forklift. Extension wire may be necessary.
The negative (black) wire should connect to
negative side of the battery. On certain trucks,
this may be the frame. If you are uncertain
whether the frame is the negative/ground or
FOR MAGNET MOUNTING
1.
Attach strobe light to metal cage. (See Figure 1)
2. Ensure light is securely mounted before moving your
vehicle.
FOR BOLT-ON MOUNTING
1.
Select a location to install strobe light.
2. Align mounting plate holes with strobe light holes on
opposite side of cage.
3. Use bolt and nut to connect strobe light through
mounting plate. Do not fully tighten. (See Figure 2)
4. Repeat with remaining two bolts and nuts.
5. Using screwdriver and 5/16" wrench, fully tighten all
three bolts and nuts.

know that it is not, a separate wire lead will be
required to run directly to the negative battery
terminal or main negative/ground of the truck.
CAUTION! DO NOT connect the forklift strobe
light to the drive motor leads or coils on
electric trucks. Connection should be made
to control wiring only. Use a volt meter prior
to connecting the light to verify the voltage.
A steady voltage must be observed with any
spikes in voltage remaining within allowable
limits.
