SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
When using electrical appliances, certain basic safety precautions must be followed, including the following:
-
Read all of the instructions before using the appliance.
-
The bowl and the heating plate must be kept clean; there should be no rice grains, pieces of vegetable, powder or
any other foreign matter between the base of the bowl and the surface of the heating plate; otherwise, the steamer's
performance will be impaired and, in serious cases, its parts or components may be burnt.
-
Avoid any knocks to the base; otherwise, the bowl may be dented by the knocks with the resulting impairment of the
steamer's performance.
-
Place the rice/vegetables uniformly in the bowl. This is the correct way.
-
Do not immerse the steamer in water to wash it. When it is dirty, clean with a soft, damp cloth. However, to clean the
bowl, it can be washed with water.
-
Do not use the appliance to steam acid or alkaline foods. Do not store the appliance in an atmosphere with corrosive
gases or in a damp place.
-
Position the bowl properly, then insert the steamer plug in the socket; remove the plug before lifting off the bowl.
-
Do not place inflammable material on or near the steamer while it is operating.
-
If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its authorised technical service centre or
by a qualified technician in order to avoid hazards.
-
This product must not be used by children or by other people without assistance or supervision if their physical,
sensory or mental condition limits safe use of the appliance. Children must be watched to make sure that they do not
play with the appliance.
-
The steamer's maximum capacity is 1.8 litres. If the steamer is overfilled, boiling water may be expelled out of the
steamer.
DIRECTIONS
1.- Connect the steamer's power cord to a mains socket. Two lamps will light, indicating that it is operating.
2.- Take the water bowl (2), and fill with water to the desired level. Place the water bowl in the steamer body and check
that it fits properly.
3.- Wait until the water starts boiling and then add the desired quantity of rice or vegetables, using the measuring cup
provided by the manufacturer (14).
4.- The time required to cook the rice is 10 minutes with the switch in the "steam" setting, plus another 10 minutes
with the lid closed and the switch in the "warm" setting. Vegetables will take more or less to cook depending on the
thickness of the pieces.
5.- Drain the rice or the vegetables using basket (10) for rice and basket (11) for vegetables.
6.- Remove the power cord from the mains socket.
