4. Choke Lever
The choke lever opens and closes the choke valve in the carburetor.
The CLOSE position enriches the fuel mixture for starting a cold engine.
The OPFN position provides the correct fuel mixture for operation after starting, and for restarting a warm engine.
Some angina applications use a remotely-mounted choke control rather than the engine-mounted choke lever
shown here:
5. Rewind the Starter Cord
Pull the starter cord slowly until resistance is felt and then pull it hard. Don't allow the starter rope to return
quickly. Return it slowly by holding it to prevent damage to the starting system.
