Basic safety information
when you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol
or medication. When you are using the electrical tool, a moment
of carelessness can result in serious injury.
Always wear personal protective equipment and safety
goggles. Wearing personal protective equipment, e.g. dust mask,
non-slip safety footwear, safety helmet or hearing protection
depending on the type and application of the electrical tool
reduces the risk of injury.
Wear suitable working clothes. Avoid loose clothing or
jewellery. Keep hair, clothes and gloves away from moving
parts. Loose clothes, jewellery or long hair may be caught by
moving parts. Wear a hairnet if you have long hair.
Avoid an unintentional starts. Always make sure that the
electrical tool is switched off before you connect it to the
electrical supply and/or the battery. Carrying the tool with your
finger on the switch or connecting the unit to the supply when it is
switched on can cause accidents.
Remove any set-up equipment or spanners before you
switch the electrical tool on. Any tool or key that is attached to
a rotating part of the tool can cause injuries.
Make sure you have a firm foothold and that you can
maintain your balance before switching on the electrical tool.
Do not use the electrical tool in an abnormal posture. This
means that you have better control of the electrical appliance
under unexpected conditions.
Where dust extraction and collection units can be installed,
make sure that these have been connected and are being
used properly. The use of a dust extraction unit reduces the
danger presented by dust.
Utilization and handling of the electrical tools
Do not overload the electrical tool. Make sure to use the
proper electrical tool for your work. You work better and safer
if you remain within the limits of the electrical tool.
