Troubleshooting
If pain, redness or soreness occurs, clean the skin around the
abutment and apply a mild antibiotic cream / ointment provided
by the clinic / your health professional.
If pain, redness or soreness persists, you should contact your clinic.
If an implant loss occurs you should contact your clinic or surgeon.
Implant loss can be caused by trauma, infection or be simply
spontaneous (without any specific reason). A new implant can
easily be surgically inserted in the same place.
If the sound processor makes a crackling or buzzing sound try
changing the battery.
If the sound processor does not work (is silent) or is working
intermittently, change the battery and check that the position of
the volume control is correct.
If either of the sound processor problems above persists you
should contact your hearing aid centre.
If the sound processor is in contact with the surrounding skin and
this causes feedback problems (whistling sound), the skin may have
to be reduced around the implant site. Please contact your clinic.
