into the socket on the side of the XL Griddle. (Figure 3) Check to make
sure probe is securely in place.
4. Plug cord into a 120 V AC electrical outlet.
IMPORTANT: ALWAYS INSERT PROBE INTO GRIDDLE'S SOCKET FIRST, then plug
cord into a 120V AC electrical outlet.
5. To preheat, turn the temperature control dial to the desired temperature.
The indicator light on the temperature control probe will illuminate
as soon as the dial is rotated. The indicator light will turn OFF once
the selected temperature has been reached. Allow 10 minutes for the XL
Griddle to preheat before cooking.
6. Add food to the non-stick griddle surface and cook according to
the recipe. Adjust temperature control dial from 200ºF to 400ºF as
necessary. After foods are cooked, use the WARM setting for serving.
IMPORTANT: Always use heat-proof spatulas or wooden utensils to prevent
damage to the XL Griddle's non-stick surface.
NOTE: During cooking, the indicator light will turn on and off as the
proper temperature is maintained.
CAUTION: XL Griddle surfaces are hot during use.
CAUTION: DO NOT USE COOKING SPRAYS. SPRAYS CAN CAUSE BUILD-UP THAT MAY
AFFECT THE NON-STICK PERFORMANCE OF THE GRIDDLE SURFACE.
7. When cooking bacon or foods containing large quantities of grease, push
grease towards the front grease drain.
8. Be sure to check the drip tray periodically. When full, use caution
to carefully slide drip tray out from the front of the XL Griddle and
dispose of the grease. Clean drip tray and replace. (Figure 4)
9. When cooking is completed, turn the temperature control dial to the
OFF position. The indicator light will turn OFF. Unplug from electrical
outlet.
10. Allow the XL Griddle to cool before removing the temperature control
probe.
11. To clean the temperature control probe, simply wipe down with a soft,
damp cloth.
IMPORTANT: Dry the temperature control probe thoroughly before next use.
