INSTRUCTIONS
When using this product basic precau-
tions should always be followed, in-
cluding the following:
Read all the instructions before us-
ing the product.
Follow the maintenance instructions
specified in the manual.
Stay alert – watch what you are do-
ing.
Do not operate the product when fa-
tigued or under the influence of al-
cohol or drugs.

WARNING
Metering pumps can start to oper-
ate as soon as they are connected
to the mains power supply.
The metering pump cannot be
switched off. In case of an electrical
accident, disconnect unit from the
mains power supply.
Disconnect the unit from the mains
power supply before working on the
metering pump.
Always depressurize liquid end be-
fore working on the metering pump.
Always empty and rinse the liquid
end before working on the metering
pump if used with hazardous or un-
known feed chemicals.
Note all national directives which
apply to the installation.
Protect yourself when handling haz-
ardous feed chemicals.
Check pump connections for tight-
ness.
Check suction valve and pressure
valve for leakages and retighten if
required!
Check liquid end for leakages and
retighten, if required!
CAUTION:
It is not permitted to assemble and
install metering pumps with non-
original parts, which have not been
checked and recommended by
Kärcher. This can endanger people
and property in circumstances for
which we are not liable.
Once fitted, hoses must not be
kinked or subjected to mechanical
stress.
To ensure the durability of the con-
nections, always use correctly-
sized clamps and hose nozzles.
Always use original hoses of the
specified diameter and wall thick-
ness.
Ensure that the operating pressure
for the metering pump and the tub-
ing system does not exceed the
maximum admissible level (see
product-specific operating instruc-
tions and your system documenta-
tion).
IMPORTANT
Ensure easy access for operation
and maintenance.

GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS

This product must be grounded. In
case of a malfunction or breakdown,
grounding provides a path of least re-
sistance for electric current to reduce
the risk of electric shock. This product
is equipped with a cord with an equip-
ment-grounding conductor. The con-
necting cable must be connected to an
appropriate connection box that is
properly installed and grounded in ac-
cordance with all local codes and ordi-
nances.
DANGER
Improper connection of the equipment-
grounding conductor can result in a risk
of electrocution. Check with a qualified
electrician or service personnel if you
are in doubt as to whether the unit is
properly grounded.
