Compressed air adapter for glow plug bores

- M8 x 1.0 for e.g. Citroën, Fiat, Ford, Lancia,
Opel, Mercedes, Suzuki, Volvo
- M10 x 1.0 for e.g. BMW, Chrysler, Opel,
Mercedes, Nissan, Renault
- M10 x 1.25 fore.g. Toyota, Lexus
INTENDED USE
The adapters included are used to fill the combustion chamber
with compressed air and are required when disassembling /
assembling valve springs on mounted cylinder heads and for
diagnosing the pressure loss.
SAFETY INFORMATION
•
Never place the tool on the vehicle battery. There is a risk of a short circuit.
•
Be careful when working with the engine running. Loose clothing and other objects can be
caught by rotating parts and cause serious injury.
•
Keep children and other unauthorized persons away from the work area.
•
Be careful when working on hot engines because of the risk of burn injuries.
•
If you remove the ignition key before repairing, you can prevent the engine from being started
accidentally and resulting in a risk of injury.
•
This manual serves as a brief guide and does not replace a workshop manual.
•
Always use a vehicle-specific service literature, from there please refer to technical data such
as torque values, disassembly/assembly instructions, etc.
•
Ensure the crankshaft is fixed with a suitable tool and can not twist.
USE
1. Remove all glow plugs.
2. Rotate piston to compression TDC.
3. Tighten the crankshaft in the TDC position
using a suitable tool.
4. Mount adapter for glow plug bore and close
valve on adapter.
5. Connect the adapter for the glow plug bore
with the compressed air system and slowly
open the valve on the adapter.
