CARE AND MAINTANENCE
Please pay attention to the following:
1. Handle the disc by its edges.
2. To keep the disc clean, do not touch its surface.
. Disc should be put back into their cases after use to avoid scratches
that could cause the laser pickup to skip.
. Do not expose discs to direct sunlight, high humidity, or high tempera
tures for extended periods. Prolonged exposure to high temperatures
can bend the disc.
. Do not stick paper or write anything on either side of the compact disc.
Sharp writing instruments, or the inks used in some felt-tip pens, may
damage the surface of the disc.
6. Unplug the unit from the electrical power outlet immediately in case of
malfunction.
7. Children should be supervised when using the appliance.
CLEANING DISCS
1. Fingerprints should be wiped off the surface of the disc with a soft
cloth. Unlike conventional records, compact discs do not have grooves
collecting dust and microscopic debris. Gently wiping them with a soft
cloth should remove most of the particles. Wipe the disc in a straight
motion from the inside to the outside.
2. Never use such chemicals as record cleaning sprays, anti-static
sprays, benzene or thinner to clean compact discs. Such chemicals
can damage the plastic of the disc.
. The unit will not play a disc that has been inserted upside down, or
discs that do not conform to the Compact Disc standard. Also, the unit
might not play discs that are scratched, soiled or carry fingerprints.
. " (8cm) CDs can be played without an adaptor.
. Insert MP discs the same way you would insert a CD disc.
