Parking sensor
a set of 4 sensors, modern parking assistance system
Introduction
The system is a high-tech product using computer-controlled technology and electronics. It was designed based on the bionics theorem,
according to which dolphins and bats are able to identify barriers and obstacles using sound waves. The system detects the distance between
the vehicle's back and barriers (including garage walls) in four different directions behind the vehicle and next to the vehicle's back. The driver
receives warning by 3 means: digital display showing the distance to the nearest barrier, LED indicators giving the direction of the barrier (on
the left, in the centre, on the right), and a sound signal signalling the distance using various warning signals: the closer to the barrier, the
higher the signal frequency. Using the system, you can park your car safely and comfortably in a narrow space as well as at night.
1. The system should be installed in a professional garage.
2. All connections must be insulated properly.
3. The sensors should be place approx. 50 cm from the ground; also, the distance between them should not exceed approx. 50 cm.
4. When drilling the holes, make sure that enough free space is provided.
5. The parking assistant is an aid to the driver; however, it does not relieve the driver of his/her responsibility to reverse carefully.
6. When parking, the driver must be sure not to endanger other people on the road or on the pavement.
7. Proper warning may only be achieved when reversing slowly.
Important System Features
• The system may only be used with power supply of 12 V DC, which is available in all car and caravan types.
• The device is normally used as a reversing assistant; however, it may also be used to determine the distance of barriers in front of the
vehicle. In such case, an additional ON/OFF switch is needed to activate the device (not included in the package).
• Detecting the distance: max. 2m (under normal conditions): it changes according to the features of the barrier.
• Power consumption: max. 200 mA
• Distance detection angles of each sensor: 60° (horizontally) 60° (vertically)
• Ultrasound frequency: 40 kHz
• Means of warning: (loudness switch options: loud-quiet-OFF)
• Intelligent microcomputer control system ensures reliable and consistent operation of the device.
• Multi-purpose technology prevents mistakes in distance detection.
• Extremely narrow and small central controlling processor unit.
• Standard cord length: 2.8m cord for the Piezo speaker, 2.5m cord for each sensor, and 1m power supply cord.
Use Instructions

back and the obstacle
1,5 – 2,0 m
1 – 1,5 m
0,5 – 1 m
0,3 – 0,5 m
< 0,3 m
Installation:
The central control processor must be fastened at the back of the boot. Connect the power supply cord to the power supply of the tail lamps.
Fasten the Piezo speaker so that the driver can hear the warning tone but, at the same time, is not disturbed.
Install all four sensors at the vehicle's back: two on sides and two in the centre (distance between the sensors - approx. 30-40 cm).
Put one adaptor ring included in the package on each sensor. The sensors must be adjusted according to the image.
Drill four holes of 21 mm in appropriate spots (normally in the back bumper) and in an appropriate angle (the drill is supplied in the package).
To determine the distance in the most efficient way, plug each sensor (A-D) in an identical socket in the control processor. Plug the Piezo
speaker cord in the socket of the central control processor. Now, the system is ready to use.
Place the display (i.e. the receiver) on the dashboard so that the driver can read the display at any time but is not disturbed by it.
Connect the display cord in the cigarette lighter socket and switch the device on using the switch (ON).
