WARNING - scalding
When carrying out maintenance or repair work to the hot water system, the
hot water boiler must be disconnected from the mains connection and the
corner valves must be closed. This not only applies to the hot boiler itself,
but also when work is carried out on the mixer tap, safety assembly module
and other components.
When working on the mixer tap, hot water boiler or safety assembly module,
you must also flush out hot water from the boiler or empty it (see Section 12.1
Emptying the hot water boiler).
WARNING - electric shock
Only trained technicians may carry out maintenance work and they must
observe safety regulations.
WARNING - electric shock
It is forbidden to open the boiler.
CAUTION - burns
The tubes from the boiler can be very hot.
12.1
Emptying the hot water boiler
1. Disconnect the hot water boiler from the mains connection.
2. Flush the hot water out of the boiler (open the mixer tap to let
out hot water until only cold water comes out).
3. Close water supply to the corner valves.
4. Open the screw connections on the boiler tubes.
WARNING - scalding
Never open the screw connections on the boiler tubes if the boiler is still hot.
A large quantity of hot water and steam can leak out due to the sudden drop
in pressure.
CAUTION - scalding
Hot water may come out when the boiler is emptied.
Store a dismantled system in a frostproof place since there may be water left in
the boiler or mixer tap, which may freeze and cause damage.
