Cleaning mode
Enable cleaning mode
To enable cleaning mode, turn on the mode switch in the "Mi Home/Xiaomi Home" app
or touch and hold the "Display brightness button" for 3 seconds. In cleaning mode, the
evaporator in the water tank will continue to rotate. This function cleans the evaporator and
deodorizes the water tank.
Disable cleaning mode
To disable cleaning mode, turn off the mode switch in the "Mi Home/Xiaomi Home" app or
press the "On-off/settings button". When the cleaning mode is disabled, the humidifier return
to normal mode.
Note: When the humidifier is in cleaning mode, the level indicator is off, the water level indicator
blinks alternately, and the air outlet stops blowing air.
Note:
1. A reasonable amount of food-grade citric acid detergent is recommended for cleaning and
removing sediment in the water tank and on the evaporator surface. In general, it is recommended
that you allow the cleaning mode to run for approximately 30 minutes, but can be shortened or
prolonged depending on the actual conditions. After that, rinse the water tank and evaporator
with clean water and allow them to air-dry in a well-ventilated indoor space with no direct sunlight.
2. If the evaporator gives off an odor after being used for a while, you may run the cleaning function
(for at least an hour) or soak it (for four hours). In either case, add 100 mL of hypochlorite solution
(at 100 mg/L concentration) to the water tank and then fill it up with clean room-temperature
water.
3. Make sure that you clean the humidifier with water no warmer than 35°C. This is because
excessively high temperatures can deform your evaporator. 4. When cleaning the humidifier, DO
NOT use detergents that are highly acidic or alkali based nor any cleaning solutions which has
a highly corrosive property. This will ensure your water tank and evaporator are protected from
corrosion and chemical burns.
