THREADING M AIN U NIT U SING T HREAD A PINDLE
1. R aise t he t hread b y g rasping t he e xposed t op a nd p ulling u pward u ntil t he t hread i s f ully e xtended.
2. P lace t hread s pool ( E) o n t he t hread s pindle ( C) a s s hown.
3. P ull t hread f rom t he t hread s pool ( E) o n t he t hread s pindle ( C) a nd p ut i t t hrough t he f irst t hread g uide ( I)
in t he d irection t oward f ront o f m achine.
4. B ring t hread a cross t o t he s econd t hread g uide ( 2). T hread g oes o ver t he t ension a djusting s crew ( Q) a nd
must b e p ositioned b etween t he t wo w ashers b ehind t he t ension a djusting s crew ( Q). T his i s w hat p rovides
the l ockstick t ension t o t he t hread.
