A/B LOCK:
When using a Master Controller, choose the requested channel A or B by briefly pressing the
button. By keeping the button pressed for 5 seconds (until "Lock" LED lights up) an accidental
change of the control dial (Fig. 2, No. 4) is prevented. By pressing the LOCK button, the LOCK
LED will be activated and the control dial is taken out of service. If you press the A/B LOCK button
for 5 seconds again, it turns on again ("Lock" LED goes out).
Night Mode: In night mode, during nighttime, the pump automatically reduces the power to half power. The
sensor is not encapsulated waterproof. Please protect it from condensate and respect a maximum of 80% air
humidity.
The light sensor is connected to the left side of the controller. Press the MODE/NIGHT button until the yellow
LED „Night" lights up.
6. Cleaning and Maintenance
From time to time, the pump needs to be cleaned. In particular, the impeller could be stuck on the axle so that
the pump stops operating. First of all, remove the pump assembly from the holder (Fig. 1, No. 6). Then, remove
the rubber gaskets (Fig. 1, No. 4). Twist the filter basket (Fig. 1, No. 1) and remove it from the pump housing
(Fig. 1, No. 3). Hold the pump assembly with your left hand. With your right hand, twist the filter basket
counterclockwise to unlock it from the pump housing. The filter basket can be locked in various positions. Ideally,
the cable should point vertically upwards.
After removal of the basket, the entire impeller unit can be pulled out. All components can be cleaned under
running water and be re-assembled again. During assembly, make sure that the impeller rotates on the axle
resp. in the ceramic bearing and the ceramic shaft fits properly into the filter basket's socket. The rubber bearing
has to be inserted far enough. Take care that is doesn't squeeze the impeller and block it.
7. Failures
Regularly clean the pump from dirt and lime deposits. We recommend Aqua Medic variocare. The ceramic
shaft of the impeller must rotate freely in the ceramic bushes. If the cleaning is not done often enough, it may
cause engine failure.
