Use of
the crimping plates
• Hair should be dry, or nearly dry,
before starting to style. Take a
small section of hair, place it
between the plates, then hold the
plates shut. Keep them closed for
about 10 seconds. Release that
section of hair and re-position the
crimper so that the next crimp
falls in line with the first. always
work from the roots towards the
end of the hair.
• For a stronger effect, keep the
plates shut for a little longer.
Use of
the straightening plates
• Use the straightener on dry hair
taking small sections of hair at a
time. Pull the hair downwards and
hold taut. Starting at the root, let
the straightener glide along the
hair in one smooth movement.
Keep the strands of hair smooth
whilst you work to avoid ridges
half way down.
• For short, curly looks - use gel or
spray and hold the sections up
and away from the heat whilst
you straighten.
• For smoothing and taming curly
hair or creating a stylish smooth
bob, use the straightener just on
the ends, leaving the hair wavy at
the roots for lift and body. For this
type of effect, keep the straightener
on the move following the shape
of your style.
