UA500 REMOTE MOUNT ANTENNA KIT
The Shure UA500 includes hardware for remote mounting of a 1/2-wave wireless re-
ceiver antenna. Remote mounting allows for a better antenna position and improved RF
performance.
This kit includes a 1/2-wave antenna, a wall-mount bracket, and hardware to mount
the antenna to the bracket. Additional mounting hardware and cables are not included.
Important: Use the UA500 with
antennas with this kit.
Installation Guidelines
• Separate multiple antennas by at least one wave length (twice the length of the
antenna).
• Avoid mounting the antenna along metal beams or metal-studded walls.
• Mount the antenna as high as possible and away from metal obstructions.
• Make sure the transmitter remains in view of the antenna. (Placing the antenna
behind non-metallic curtains or stage flats is permissible).
Wall-Mount Installation (see page 7)
1. Attach the bracket to the mounting surface with appropriate hardware (not supplied).
2. Remove one hex nut from the bulkhead adapter and insert the adapter into the
bracket hole.
3. Secure the adapter to the bracket using the hex nut removed in Step 2.
4. Connect the antenna to the top of the adapter.
5. Attach one end of the cable assembly (not supplied) to the bottom of the adapter.
Attach the other end of the cable assembly to the receiver antenna connector.
Microphone Stand Installation (see page 7)
1. Slide the bracket over the top of the microphone stand. Secure the bracket with a
hex nut or mic stand adapter.
2. Attach the bulkhead adapter, antenna and cable.
