REFILLING THE WATER RESERVOIR
1. Turn off the iron.
2. Switch it off and wait 5 minutes.
3. Keep squeezing the steam trigger until no more steam or air is expelled. Unscrew
the boiler cap, taking care because there may still be a small residue of boiler
pressure from within.
4. The vapour steam in this appliance is really strong, so do not point to people,
animals ar any other delicated objects.
5. If some water falls when filling the tank, clean it with a soft and dry cloth.
6. The unit will take some minutes to reach operating temperature and boiler pressure.
The end of the warm-up period is indicated by the generator station pilot light
being illuminated.
TURNING OFF AND STORING APPLIANCE
1. Switch off the steam generator.
2. Remove the plug from the plug socket.
3. Let the appliance cool down completely.
4. Clean the housing and drain the appliance. (see 'Maintenance and cleaning').
5. Store the iron in a dry, frost-free location where children can't reach it.
• Store the iron vertically (upright), this will prevent damage to the soleplate.
MAINTENANCE
Never move the steam generator whilst it is switched on or is still hot. Switch off
•
the appliance, and wait until it has cooled down before you move it.
Never immerse the appliance, the power cord or the plug in water or other
•
liquids. If this happens do not use the appliance anymore; dispose of the
appliance.
Never use corrosive or scouring cleaning agents.
•
Never scrape over the soleplate with metal objects.
•
After a period of time, the water may leave some alkaline deposits that must be
•
periodically removed by doing the following:
- Fill the boiler with a water solution (75%) and white pure vinegar (25%).
- Leave the boiler lid opened, plug the appliance to the mains and press the
power switch till the water begins to boil.
- Leave the solution for a few minutes. Empty the boiler and clean it with water 2
or 3 times.
- When decalcification starts do not through steam with the iron.
Clean the appliance thoroughly after use.

Make sure the appliance is not plugged into the plug socket when you are

going to clean it.
