Hella Rotating Beacons are officially type tested within
the area governed by ECE-R65. They must be attached at
the highest point on the vehicle and be vertical in relation
to the roadway when the vehicle is loaded ready for use.
The rotating beacons have radio interference suppression
and fulfil VD§ 0879 Part 2. The are EU approved in con-
formance with RL 72/245 ECC Version 95/54/EC.
Rotating beacons with blue light dome: For all priority
vehicles such as police, fire brigade, accident and ambu-
lances, etc.
Rotating beacons with amber light dome: For public
road service vehicles, towing trucks, vehicles with exces-
sive length or width, etc.
Notes for authorized specialist personnel or specialist
garages: In the event of a defect in the high voltage area,
it is necessary to switch off the unit and wait > 1 minute
before opening the unit.
Rotating beacons, version F
Drill mounting holes and holes for cable feed to match
hole pattern.
The rubber base can be used as a drilling template.
Ensure that the O-ring is properly positioned when
mounting.
Electrical connection (fused positive lead):
12 V => 10 A
24 V => 7.5 A
Cable cross-section at least 1.5 mm
Installation of light dome:
Turn light dome tightly to ensure that it does not leak.
Ensure that gasket is seated correctly. Do not forget
retaining screw.
Rotating beacon, version M
Ensure that the contact surface is free of dirt, water, ice
and snow.
It can be connected electrically through the open window
to the socket in the vehicle. Ensure that the connection
line is not pinched or kinked!
