This product is suitable for outdoor and
indoor use in home environment.
This product is intended for children over 5
years.
Warning
— Must be assembled/installed by an adult.
Do not use the equipment until properly
installed.
— Position the equipment on an level
surface at least 2.5m from any structure
or obstruction such as a fence, garage,
house, overhanging branches, laundry
lines, or electrical wires.
— Swing must be attached by suspension
clips provided to suspension hooks
securely fixed to the support structure.
Use suspension hooks of a design that
will prevent unintentional disconnection,
such as IKEA EKORRE hook.
— Do not install over concrete, asphalt,
packed earth, or any other hard surface.
A fall onto a hard surface can result in
serious injury to the user.
— Adult supervision recommended for
children of all ages.
To reduce the likelihood of serious or fatal
injury, children must be clearly instructed:
— to use the swing one at a time only,
— not to walk or play close to, in front of
or behind a moving swing,
— to sit in the centre of the swing with
their full weight on the seat,
— not to get off the swing when it is in
motion,
— not to twist swing ropes or loop them
over any top support bar or beam,
— not to attach items to the swing or its
support structure, such as ropes, cables
etc., as children can get entrapped in
these.
Maintenance
To reduce the risk of serious or fatal injury,
at monthly intervals:
— check all fittings for tightness regularly
and tighten as necessary.
— check seat, ropes and/or means of
attachment for evidence of deterioration.
Do not use the swing if broken.
Shock absorbing surface material
Because children may deliberately jump
from a moving swing, you should use a
shock absorbing surface material. This
should extend in the front and rear of the
swing a minimum distance of 2 times the
height of the pivot point (measured from
the ground to the suspension hooks).
With a ground clearance of 40 cm (16")
the maximum fall height (pivot point to
ground) for this product is 300 cm (118").
Suitable shock-absorbing materials include
shredded bark or wood chips to a depth of
at least 20-25 cm (8-10") and fine sand or
gravel to a depth of at least 30 cm (12").
Check materials regularly and replenish as
necessary to maintain minimum depth.
